Our first product, sipsmart, is a non-invasive smart patch that monitors blood alcohol content (BAC) levels found in sweat, providing information to the user in near real time. sipsmart utilizes a proprietary chemical sensing system to visually alert users of their BAC levels via colorimetric sensing. Our device monitors a range of different BAC levels, affordably, discreetly, and conveniently.
Horizen Technologies is a startup based out of San Luis Obispo, a small town located in the Central Coast of California. The idea was born at Cal Poly while learning about disruptive technologies, and first gained popularity winning the Elevator Pitch Competition in 2022.
